Born and brought up in Scotland, Mike Souter joined the Britannia Royal Naval
College in Dartmouth as a scholarship entrant in 1970.
After seven years, he joined Radio Clyde as a reporter before moving to the
BBC, where he spent nine years on staff producing and presenting programmes for radio and television.
In 1989, he set up his own media relations consultancy specialising in leisure and travel.
He travels extensively and lives in Spain.
